Kristen manages the organization’s brand through its presence on social media, online, in print and throughout various media outlets across the state. She also manages the fundraising and development strategies.
Kristen is a two-time graduate of Butler University; she holds an undergraduate journalism degree in integrated communications and an MBA in marketing. She has also served on the university’s Young Alumni Board. Kristen is active in the Hoosier Chapter of Public Relations Society of America and currently serves as Advocacy Officer. Kristen is a three-time Pinnacle Award winner from the organization. She submitted award-winning entries for Indiana Humanities’ Food for Thought campaign in the marketing and communications division and for “Chew on This” in the social media project division. Prior to joining Indiana Humanities she received a “Best of Show” award for her work at Hetrick Communications with the FitCity childhood obesity campaign.
A Spencer, Ind., native, she’s a Lilly Community Scholar and remains active with the Owen County Community Foundation. Kristen also serves on the Indy Hub board of directors, chairs the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation’s communications committee, and frequently volunteers in the media room for local sporting events, including Super Bowl XLVI.
Kristen and her husband, Ben, live in Mooresville and adore traveling. Currently, they (along with their English bulldog) are adjusting to life with a newborn son.
