Suzann Lupton is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law & Nonprofit Organizations at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She is also a member of the faculty of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI. Professor Lupton joined the IUPUI public affairs faculty in 2010, after a legal career that included work in the public and private sectors. She served as a clerk to an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Indiana and then as a Deputy Attorney General for the state. Suzann completed her legal career as a lawyer with Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis where she specialized in health care law. She also served as an adjunct faculty at the IU School of Law in Indianapolis. She is a candidate for a Ph.D. in Philanthropic Studies. Her research focuses on health philanthropy and the connections between philanthropic institutions and the state. Suzann has served on a number of nonprofit boards of directors.
