Since joining the Institute in 2000, Rachel has assisted a variety of nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies with program evaluation, survey design and implementation, and data analysis. Rachel has applied her research skills in a number of areas including criminal justice program assessment, quality of life issues, reentry program evaluation, the impact of faith-based organizations, and substance abuse topics. Organizations Rachel has worked with while at the Institute include the Ford Foundation, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Indy Reads, Young Audiences, the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana Project Safe Neighborhood. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from Goshen College and a Master’s in international studies from the University of Denver.
